Overview
The Deal is a multi-purpose marketplace platform built for the Qatari market. It lets users buy and sell business projects, explore investment opportunities, list and apply for jobs, request feasibility studies, manage transaction-related services, and watch business-focused podcasts — all from a single place. The product is delivered as both a Next.js web experience and native iOS and Android apps, designed to make business opportunities in Qatar easier to discover and act on.
01 — The Challenge
Business opportunities, project sales, job listings, feasibility study requests, and transaction services were scattered across different channels in Qatar — WhatsApp groups, classifieds, consultancy referrals, and informal networks. Users had no centralized place to discover verified opportunities, connect with sellers or service providers, or access business-related services in a structured way.
02 — The Approach
I designed and shipped a clean digital experience that organises The Deal's services into clear sections: projects, jobs, feasibility studies, transactions, and podcasts. The platform was built with a scalable Laravel backend, REST API, and a shared data model that powers both the Next.js web app and the Flutter mobile apps. Users can browse listings, view project details, submit requests, and engage with business opportunities from any device.
